Strikers and Thunders will clash against one another in match 28 of the Aus T20 League 2021 at the Adelaide Oval, Adelaide. Strikers thus far have had a miserable run in the tournament, managing only a single win in six encounters that they have played. With seven points to their name, the  former champions will be hoping for an improved show in the second half of the T20 competition.  Thunders on the other hand will be riding high on confidence after securing a convincing victory in their previous tie against Scorchers. 

It is fair to say that Strikers by far have been the most awful team in this tournament. They’ve been struggling to find their feet in the competition. They don’t seem to have a game plan to tackle any situation. Batting looks woeful without the services of Travis Head and Alex Carey.  The dynamic duo of Jake Weatherald and Matthew Short have not been good enough to negate the moving ball. Matt Renshaw and Jonathan Wells at three and four have toiled hard to get their runs. Harry Neilson at five is woeful to say the least and Thomas Kelly at six is struggling with his timing. None of their batters have looked nonchalant with their ball striking. Bowling attack has depth but is failing to deliver the goods. Rashid Khan, Peter Siddle and Wes Agar will be the bowlers to watch out for.

Thunders will be heading into this encounter with a whole lot of confidence. After ending Scorchers unbeaten run, Green and co will have the momentum on their side. With 13 points to their name, Thunders are currently positioned at fourth in the league standings. Their batting order has a few big names like Billings, Sangha and Hales. While Billings and Sangha have done exceptionally well this season, Alex has struggled at the top of the order. Skipper Green will be hoping the dashing opener to return back to his very best in the second half of the tournament. Bowling attack is bolstered by the addition of Gurinder Sandhu who has been amongst the wickets this season. Daniel Sams and Tanveer Sangha are the other two bowlers, the team rely on to get the crucial breakthroughs.
