Tripathi and Priyam moves to Rajasthan while Shahrukh goes to Punjab

The former Kolkata based Rahul Tripathi will be moving to the south as Hyderabad has joined Hyderabad for a whooping 8.5 crores. Every Indian T20 League fan will remember Tripathi’s performance in the playoffs where with his batting skill, the Kolkata franchise reached the finals of the Indian T20 League for the first time in 7 long years. He will join forces with Priyam Garg in the new franchise as the young player will be dawning the orange jersey for 20 lakhs.

The Punjab franchise also went shopping as the team got their man Shahrukh Khan for 9 crores. Chennai was in a bidding war with Chennai but the yellow franchise had to back out because of budget restrictions. Shahrukh will continue playing for Punjab and so will Harpreet Brar. The pacer joined the franchise for 3.6 crores.

Kolkata got their man Shivam Mavi for 7.25 crores. Mavi was wanted by Bangalore, Punjab, Gujarat and Lucknow but Kolkata was determined and got their man for a reasonable price. The team was looking forward to getting a pacer who better than their former player. They also went after Kamlesh Nagarkoti but lost to Delhi, who got them for 1.1 crores.

Rahul Tewatia will be moving to Gujarat for 9 crores while Shahbaz Ahmed will be staying with Bangalore for 2.4 crores. Abhisekh Sharma will be paying for Gujarat Titans for 6.5 crores.
