The second and final test match between Australia and West Indies is scheduled o be played on Adelaide Oval. The game will be a day and night test match played with the pink ball. The hosts, Australia will look forward to carrying their winning momentum after dominating a 164-run win over the Indies in the 1st Test match. While the Caribbean side will be looking forward to fetching a win in this match to level the series. 

Marnus Labuschange was the star of the show with the bat as he smashed 204 runs in the first innings and scored another ton in the second, becoming the only 8th player to do so. Australia’s one of the best test batters’ Steve Smith also score 200 runs in the first innings as well. David Warner was nearing his half-century in the 2nd innings but missed by a narrow 2-run margin. Travis Head was the most unlucky player in the whole game as he was dismissed when he was 1 run shy of a century. Also, the opener Usman Khawaja provided a good headstart to the team by scoring 65 runs in the 1st innings of the game.

The bowling department also did a good job and had equal hands in winnings. Speedsters Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins picked up three wickets each in the first innings assisted by Nathon Lyon who took 2 scalps. Cameroon Green and Josh Hazlewood also picked 1 wicket each to restrict the flow of runs. In the 2nd innings game, Nathon Lyon was the star as he picked 6 wickets along with Travis Head getting two wickets under his belt. Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc also managed to grab 1 wicket each to win the 1st Test match. 

For the West Indies side, the game was tough, Kraigg Brathwaite smashed 64 runs in the 1st innings of the game to power the innings. Debutant Tagenarine Chanderpaul also smashed 51 runs while opening for his side. In the 2nd innings, Roston Chase and Alzarri Joseph scored 55 and 43 runs respectively but all went in vain as the target was too much to cover and it seemed impossible as no one from the team stepped up with a big score. 

West Indies bowling side disappointed miserably, none of the bowlers took more than two wickets in both innings combined. Kyle Mayers and Jayden Seales took 1 wicket each in the first innings, assisted by Brathwaite who took 2 wickets. And in the second innings, Roston Chase and Kemar Roach were the only ones picking one wicket each.
