Varun Aaron provides important suggestion to the World T20 League hosts

West Indies will be the co-hosts of the World T20 League 2024. The marquee event will be played in June where the United States of America will also organise some of the matches. The Caribbean side have won the silverware twice but the T20 specialists hasn’t been at their best form in the last few seasons. Yet, the case could alter this time as the matches will be played a their home ground.

In the meantime, Sunil Narina has refused to come out of retirement to play for the team. The Caribbean all-rounder is in sublime form with the bat and ball in the Indian T20 League 2024. He has accumulated over 400 runs hitting 1 century and 3 half-centuries respectively. Also with the ball, Narine has taken 14 scalps so far this season.

Former Indian player Varun Aaron has given crucial advice to the West Indies Cricket Council. As per his ideas, the two-time champions should go forward and appoint the present Kolkata mentor Gautam Gambhir as their mentor.

“West Indies should bring Gautam Gambhir on board as their mentor. He is the only person who can convince Sunil Narine to come out of retirement. Narine has been amazing this season and he can help the West Indies in the World T20 League,” Varun Aaron said in a sports show.

The Windies side would be led by Rovman Powell this time, who spoke to Narine about his decision to play for the team. His refusal came as a surprise for most of the cricketing world as his tremendous form could be of utmost importance for the Caribbeans. Further, Narine said no to any such speculation and possibilities.
