Bangladesh tour of Zimbabwe commences with three T20Is, first of which will be played on Saturday, July 30 at the Harare Sports Club. A whole lot would be expected out of the hosts especially after their heroics in the World T20 Series qualification tournament where they beat Nederlands in the final. Bangladesh on the other side would look to improve their T20I record in cricket. Despite being the superior side, the visitors haven’t really had a good T20I game off late.

Zimbabwe have a strong reason to believe they can pull off a victory. Looking at Bangladesh’s struggle to cope up with the format can just work in the visitors favour. They will however be without the services of the veteran duo of Tendai Chatara and Blessing Muzarabani who were recently ruled out of the game due to injury concerns. Despite that, ZIM have plenty of experience in their ranks. Four out of their five main batters have strike rates between 126 and 150 in T20Is. Sikandar Raza stands out among them with the most number of runs, best innings score, and the best strike rate. Regis Chakabva, Sean Williams, and Wessly Madhevere are also in good shape. Raza, the team's key all-arounder who recently competed in the Bangladesh T20 League will certainly know a thing or two about the visitors. In T20Is this year, Raza is also Zimbabwe's joint-highest wicket-taker

Undercooked. One world that perfectly describes Bangladesh’s condition at the moment. They suffered a 3-0 humiliation against the West Indies in their last tour and looked in terrible shape throughout the series and the fact that they have rested four of their most experienced players for this tour has worsened the situation. Tamim Iqbal has retired from Twenty20 Internationals. Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah have been rested, while Shakib Al Hasan has taken a sabbatical after recently losing the captaincy to Nurul Hasan. 391 matches' worth of experience is now lost. Nurul Hasan has emphasised on ‘impact runs’ rather than runs- something the team will expect from him. Nurul will also be hoping his batters to get them to decent totals. Litton Das will shoulder the batting responsibility alongside  Afif Hossain and Anamul Haq. In the bowling prowess, Bangladesh have the likes of Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman and Shoriful Islam.
