Everton out of the relegation zone after draw agaisnt Palace

A late Amadou Onana goal secured Everton a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace and moved ‘The Toffees’ out of the Premier League relegation zone on Monday, with the fixture viewed by the London team’s new boss Oliver Glasner.

Jordan Ayew broke the deadlock in the 66th minute to put Palace ahead just hours after manager Rouy Hodgson bowed out and their new head coach Glasner was confirmed.

But Onana jumped up the highest at a corner to head in and grab an equaliser for the hosts in a low stakes encounter, which lifted Sean Dyche’s side to 17th place.

Everton now have 20 points from 25 games, while Palace are in 15th position, five points clear of the relegation zone.
