Real Madrid wants to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold

Real Madrid seems to be serious about this summer's transfer market. After securing Kylian Mbappe, Los Blancos are reportedly interested in bringing in Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The English man, who has spent his entire career at Liverpool, has been linked with the Spanish giants in the past, but a deal never materialised. Given that Alexander-Arnold is entering the final year of his contract, it would be no surprise to see Real Madrid rekindle their interest. However, what may come as a surprise to Liverpool fans is that Alexander-Arnold is said to be interested in a move to the Spanish capital.

According to multiple reports, Real Madrid's interest is now becoming more concrete with their efforts to bring Alexander-Arnold to the Santiago Bernabeu. It is claimed that Los Blancos' have been in contact with the 25-year-old over the past month and the Liverpool star has expressed his interest in a move to La Liga.

As is known, Real Madrid's right-back has long been mentioned as an area that needs more attention. However, while a replacement for 32-year-old Dani Carvajal will eventually be needed, the Spanish veteran is arguably in the best form of his career. And is a major contender for the 2024 Ballon d'Or thanks to his incredible trophy haul in the last 12 months. Meanwhile, Liverpool and their new manager Arne Slot will look to keep Alexander-Arnold ahead of the 2024/2025 Premier League season.

However, if Alexander-Arnold chooses to remain at Anfield this season, he could leave for free next summer. To date, Alexander-Arnold has made 310 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 19 goals in all competitions for the Reds. He has also won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup twice with the Merseyside club.

Alexander-Arnold has also represented England 29 times, with his last appearance coming during the Euro 2024 campaign.
