Will Ronaldo play against Al-Taawon in the second league match?

Al-Nassr vs Al-Taawon will face each other for matchday number two of the Saudi Professional League 23-24 this Friday, August 18 starting at 11:30 PM. The two clubs did not start the competition in the best way. Cristiano Ronaldo-led Yellow Submarine lost while the visitors tied with just enough in the first league match. This game will take place at MRSOOL Park with a capacity of 25,000 spectators. Al-Nassr comes from being champion of the Arab Club Champions Cup after beating their classic rival, Al-Hilal, 2-1 courtesy of Ronaldo's brace. However, they started their way in the Saudi Professional League on the wrong foot because they lost 2-1 against Al-Ettifaq. He did not play Cristiano Ronaldo due to a knee injury and it is not yet known when he will return, even though he was training with his teammates.

For its part, Al-Taawon comes from equalizing in its debut against Al-Fateh, but it did not have the best preseasons because it lost the three games it played. However, it is a team of significance in the Saudi Professional League, so it is a squad that all its rivals respect and that has just beaten Al -Nassr in the previous edition.

Al Nassr's head coach Luis Castro will not change his formation much ahead of the game on the second day of the championship, even though he began by losing two to one against Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq. The reality is that, without the figure of the 38-year-old Ronaldo on the field, Al-Nassr failed to have that push to turn the score around. They will have to change that chip to be champions of Saudi Arabia.

The Brazilian coach Chamusca did not finish finding the best lineup for his Al-Taawon, since his last results were not entirely favourable, because he lost three of the last four games and did not win any. They started the Saudi Professional League 23-24 with a draw against Al Fateh and now they will have to face one of the favorite teams for the title.

Probable Playing XI:

Al-Nassr lineup:  Nawaf Al-Aqidi; Al-Ghannam Sultan, Ali Al-Oujami, Abdulehah Al-Amri, Alex Telles; Abdullah Al Khaibari, Marcelo Brozovic, Seko Fofana; Anderson Talisca, Sadio Mané, Cristiano Ronaldo

DT: Luis Castro.

Al-Taawon lineup: Mailson; Al Ghamdi Mohammed, Andrei Girotto, Hassan Kadesh, and Faqeehi Muath; Mateus, Flavio, Álvaro Medrán and El Mahdioui Aschraf; Leandre Tawamba and Al Amri Hassan.
