Sydney Thunder (THU) and Melbourne Stars (STA) will lock horns in the knockout match of the Aus-T20 league 2024-2025 season at the Sydney Showground Stadium on Wednesday. 

With five wins and three losses from their eight league fixtures, THU secured the third spot in the league standings. Their planned games against Hobart Hurricanes (HUR) and Sydney Sixers (SIX) were called off due to incessant rains.
