Tuchel calls out Kane for Bochum loss

The former Tottenham forward has been exquisite in front of goal during his first campaign at the Allianz Arena, and did find the back of the net in his latest appearance for the club- taking his goal tally to 29 across all competitions.

Kane did, although, ballooned a first-half chance against Bochum over the bar, with Bayern a goal ahead at that stage on the back of an early opener from Jamal Musiala. That lack of discipline in the final third helped Bochum to stay in contention, and they went on to secure an amazing 3-2 win.

Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel told DAZN later, with his leading man made aware that he really should have killed the tie that was rattled on a few occasions by protests from the home fans.

“We created some top-class chances. Harry's chance in the first half may have been the deciding factor. If he finished that with one touch instead of trying to play it, the game is over. I don’t think today’s defeat was fair; I think a lot went against us. I think we had an xG value of 3.4 and we had four, five, six top-class chances. We completely dominated the game and actually went behind out of nowhere. We never stopped putting in the effort until the end and then played with a man down for a long time. A lot went against us. I feel today's defeat is different from the last two.”

Bayern have lost their last three games across all competitions, with league leaders Bayer Leverkusen and Italian side Lazio defeating them Bundesliga and Champions League respectively. Their defender Dayot Upamecano received red cards in back to back games.
