New Zealand will aim to make it two in two when it takes on Bangladesh on Monday in Rawalpindi. The Bangladesh Tigers are in a virtual must-win situation, as a defeat would eliminate both them and Pakistan from the competition. 

With India currently leading Group A with 4 points and if New Zealand beats Bangladesh that virtually concludes the group phase scenario with Pakistan and Bangladesh playing each other in the final match with nothing but pride at stake. However, the match on Monday might be a cakewalk for the Black Caps with Bangladesh having all the resources to cause an upset.

In an all-important clash, Bangladesh might rope in their seamer Nahid Rana who was tough to play against in his last outing against Pakistan in a test series last year. With the playing track and surface favouring seamers in Rawalpindi, Nahid might get a chance to show his skills.

New Zealand

With Will Young scoring a ton in the opening encounter against Pakistan in the absence of Rachin Ravindra, the Black Caps are expected to continue with the same playing combination for this match against Bangladesh as well. Rachin, who suffered a nasty forehead injury in the opening clash of the Tri-Series against Pakistan a couple of weeks back, is said to be eased into the team even if he recovers properly.

Rawalpindi has always been favourable for batting and it would be a surprise if batting first a team did not post at least a total of 330. The track is also equitable for good pace, bounce and carry.
