Champions Trophy 25: International Cricket Board adjourned following a brief discussion

The important meeting of the International Cricket Board members on the chagrin issue of the Champions Trophy was adjourned without any decision. The meeting was briefly held for nearly 20 minutes on Friday (November 29) before the Board members agreed to meet again soon. 

According to reliable sources, it has been learnt that the members didn’t come up with a decision, with the Pakistan Cricket Board firm to its stance of not having a hybrid model for the multi-team tournament. 

All 15 members- 12 full members and three associate nation directors- are said to have attended the meeting. 

Meanwhile, another source disclosed that the meeting may take more than 24 hours to reconvene. As per sources, the parties will try to work conscientiously towards finding a solution to the Champions Trophy plight. The meeting is expected to reconvene in the coming few days, if not on Saturday.
