Covid scare in the Indian T20 league as Patrick Farhart tests positive
Covid scare in the Indian T20 League!
The Delhi franchise camp has been hit by Covid-19 after it was confirmed that their physio, Patrick Farhart has tested positive for Covid-19. Now, this indeed is very scary news for the tournament as last year something similar happened and the entire tournament was postponed for almost six months. The team last played against Kolkata on 10th of April at Brabourne Stadium and it is expected that Patrick contracted the virus while travelling from one venue to the other.
Even though the team is yet to release a statement regarding this, the officials of the tournament have released one. In a statement they said, “Delhi physio Patrick Farhart has been tested positive for Covid-19. He is being closely monitored by the Delhi Medical Team at the moment”.
It has not been confirmed whether anyone else is affected or not. The chances are high as the players need proper rest and the physios play that role. Delhi is scheduled to face Bangalore in their next fixture and more and more things will come into light as time passes. As of now, the match is scheduled to happen but things can change rapidly as the situation is pretty tense at the moment.
