Dasun Shanaka to join Gujarat in Ind T20 League 2023

Gujarat have signed Sri Lanka’s limited overs captain Dasun Shanaka to replace the injured Kane Williamson in Ind T20 League 2023. 

The Former Kiwi skipper suffered a knee injury in the opening fixture against Chennai and wasn’t available to bat. He was subsequently ruled out of the tournament and recently went home. 

Shanaka has now been signed as his replacement for his base price of INR 50 Lakh. The Sri Lankan hasn’t featured in the Ind T20 League before and would be keen to make an impact for the reigning champions. 

Shanka was in great form with the bat recently in India as he hammered 124 runs in the T20I series at a strike rate of 187. In the same series, the all rounder also smashed his second ever hundred in international circuit.
