Well, the English players will once again be in action tonight as they take on Lankans in Sharjah. It is going to be a must win game for Sri Lanka while England would like to keep their winning momentum going and remain unbeaten and reach the semi-finals as one. Will it be easy? No. This Sri Lanka team is much more determined than they face the one in the summer.

Sri Lanka was whitewashed and had no chance whatsoever when these two teams faced each other in a 3 t20I series back in the summer. England thrashed them very easily but things have changed now. Sri Lanka are a much better side now. It's not that a lot of players have come in but the spirit of the side has changed ever since India toured Lanka in July. At Sharjah, they will be a difficult side to beat and of course, Wanindu Hasaranga will be very important for Sri Lanka. In fact, all of their bowlers need to step up and do their job very well in order to put some pressure on the English batsmen. No team could do this in the World Series so far and it'll be tough for the Lankans as well since their bowlers haven't been consistent. Something that is very required to win or do well in a tournament of this magnificent. Their batters have more or less been decent. They are making some silly mistakes and that needs to be avoided. It is because of these silly mistakes, they are unable to choke the opposition and with that, they are losing the momentum and eventually the grip of the match. They have the ability to play well but in order to beat England, all their players need to give 200% on the pitch.

England on the other hand will be a very confident side. After beating Australia in such a grand manner, any side would have been so. Their consistency in this World Series has been phenomenal and no one thought that England would be this dominating in all their matches. Buttler and Moeen Ali have been absolutely fantastic for three lions and by the looks of it, they are now the favourites to win the prestigious title for the second time in their history. There is no such field that they need to improve. Captain Morgan's form would have been a concern but he's hardly getting to bat. Thus, right now, it's not fair to point that out. It will be interesting to see England bat first today.
