England beat Pakistan by 26 runs in the 2nd Test, taking a 2-0 lead in the series

PAK vs ENG: In the second Test match played in Multan, England defeated Pakistan by 26 runs. With this, Ben Stokes' team took an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match Test series. Chasing the target of 355 runs from England, Pakistan's team got all out for 328 runs.

After gaining a lead of 79 runs in the first innings, the England team was reduced to 275 runs in their second innings. In this way, on the third day of the Test match, Pakistan got a target of 355 runs. but they fell short by 26 runs. Rizwan and Shafique opened the innings for Pakistan, as Imam-ul-Haq was injured while fielding during England's second innings. 

Rizwan and Shafique gave Pakistan a great start. Rizwan (30) returned to the pavilion with a total score of 66 runs. However, shortly after this, captain Babar Azam lost his wicket. Babar could score only one run. Rizwan was bowled by James Anderson and Babar by Ollie Robinson. After this, Shafique (45) also returned to the pavilion with a total score of 83.

Pakistan's team was in trouble after losing three wickets for just 83 runs. After this, the injured Imam-ul-Haq and Saud Shakeel shared a 108-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Both of them made a great comeback for Pakistan. However, Imam was dismissed on a personal score of 60. 

Saud and Faheem Ashraf came to bat on the fourth day. Both did not let the wicket fall for the first half an hour. However, Joe Root dismissed Faheem (10) and returned the match to the England team. 

After this, Saud and all-rounder Nawaz overturned the match. There was a partnership of 80 runs between the two. When Pakistan's only 5 wickets had fallen for 290 runs, it seemed as if Pakistan's team would win this match.

Nawaz got out after scoring 45 runs. After this, Saud Shakeel was also dismissed for 94 runs. In the end, Agha Salman and Abrar Ahmed played fighting innings of 20 and 17 not out, but both of them could not win their team.

Mark Wood took the maximum of four wickets in the second innings for England. At the same time, James Anderson and Ollie Robinson got two wickets each. Apart from this, Jack Leach and Joe Root got one success each.
