                                  Nida Dar to lead Pakistan's 17 member squad for England tour


Nida Dar has been named skipper of Pakistan’s 17-member squad for their upcoming tour of England, which includes three ODI and as many T20Is. 

Bismah Mahroof, who recently announced her retirement from international cricket, and Sidra Nawaz are the notable exclusions from the squad that is currently playing a limited overs series’ against the Windies.

Pakistan squad: Nida Dar (c), Aliya Riaz, Ayesha Zafar, Diana Baig, Fatima Sana, Gull Feroza, Muneeba Ali (wk), Najiha Alvi (wk), Nashra Sundhu, Natalia Parvaiz, Rameen Shamim, Sadaf Shamas, Sadia Iqbal, Sidra Amin, Tuba Hassan, Umm-e-Hani and Waheeda Akhtar.

 The England tour commences with a T20I series that begin on May 11, followed by the ODI series, starting on May 23, which is a part of the Women’s Championship 2022-25. 

This will be Pakistan’s eighth and last series in the ongoing cycle. They are currently positioned at fifth with 16 points in the 10 team championship. First five teams along with hosts India, will be eligible for a direct qualification for the 2025 Women’s World Cup. 

Pakistan is also scheduled to play two warm up fixtures during their England tour. They’ll play a warm up game against ECB Development XI in Grace Road on May 9 before the T20I series and an ODI warm up match against ECB Development XI in Northampton on May 21 ahead of the ODI series.

17 May - 2nd T20I, Northampton

19 May - 3rd T20I, Leeds

23 May - 1st ODI, Derby

26 May - 2nd ODI, Taunton

29 May - 3rd ODI, Chelmsford
