Red Devils defeated Sheffield United by 4-2 in the EPL Clash

Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag, admitted that he was still disappointed with his team even though they successfully defeated the bottom fragger, Sheffield United with a score of 4-2 at Old Trafford on Wednesday(24th April 2024). In the match postponed to week 29 of the 2023/2024 Premier League, the Hosts did not appear very convincing at the start. Andre Onana's blunder was also used by Jayden Bogle to open Sheffield United's lead.

United closed the first half with a 1-1 draw after Harry Maguire successfully found the net for the visitors. However, Sheffield United took the lead again thanks to Ben Brereton's goal in the 50th minute. After equalizing the score thanks to Bruno Fernandes' penalty goal, United took the lead in the 81st minute through Bruno's second goal which was scored through a beautiful process.

The sixth-placed EPL side United sealed the win after Rasmus Hojlund scored a goal to make the final score 4-1. This victory meant United is now in sixth place with 53 points. After the match, United's coach did not hesitate to praise the mentality of his team who successfully came back from falling behind twice and finally won. However, he also highlighted several aspects that disappointed him.

"There are a lot of positive things - the resilience to come back after going behind twice," said Ten Hag as quoted by The Mirror. "But there is also a negative side. We gave up and that can't happen. That's unacceptable, we have to learn from this. But I'm happy with this win and we have to keep going.” he stressed.
