Kobbie Mainoo receives applaud from Man Utd coach

Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag gave a challenge to Kobbie Mainoo. He wants to see the midfielder play consistently in his team.

Mainoo recently got the chance to start from the Red Devils head coach. He played around 70 minutes when Manchester United visited Everton's headquarters last weekend. In this match, the 18-year-old midfielder performed brilliantly. He managed to appear dominant in the Red Devils' midfield in that match. The Dutch coach said he was satisfied with the midfielder's performance.

"He [Mainoo] played very maturely," Ten Hag told MUTV. Ten Hag did not hesitate to praise Mainoo's performance at Goodison Park. He said the midfielder performed extraordinary in that match.

"He can win the ball and make the right decisions. He leads the build-up process in our game, and that is what we expect from our no.6 midfielder," continued Ten Hag. Ten Hag issues a challenge to Mainoo and wants the midfielder to be able to maintain this level of play in the next few matches. "When we defended, he played like a senior player. He played very maturely," continued Ten Hag. "He has had a very good start, now he has to do it consistently," concluded the manager.
