Alyssa Healey ruled out of Women's Australia T20 League

Australia and Sixers’ wicket keeper batter, Alyssa Healey has been ruled out of the remainder of the Women’s Aus T20 League season due to a finger injury.

Healey, who was bit on her right index finger by one of her Staffordshire bull terrier puppies, sustained a laceration and had to undergo a surgery.

This is not the news I was hoping for because I love playing in the Women Aus T20 League and I love the Sixers," Healy said. "My focus now will be on making a full recovery and returning to play when the time is right.

"I'll continue to spend time with the Sixers squad and offer any help I can to help the team and the club thrive for the rest of the competition. I'll enjoy being able to watch the Women Aus T20 League from afar as the tournament continues to go from strength to strength," she added.

The Sixers are currently positioned at seventh in the league standings. They are yet to open their win tally in the competition.
