Chennai to challenge Kolkata in the first match of Indian T20 League 2022

On the very first day of the mega festival, we are going to see the repeat of last year’s Indian T20 league finale as Chennai is all set to challenge Kolkata at Wankhede. The board has now officially confirmed that the entire tournament will take place at Maharashtra over four venues. DY Patil and CCI in Mumbai will host 20 matches each while DY Patil and MCA stadium in Pune will host in Pune.

The secretary of the board in a press release said, “A total of 70 league matches and 4 playoff games will be played in the duration of 65 days”. There will be 12 double headers in the tournament with the matches to begin at 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm.

March 26: Chennai vs. Kolkata – Wankhede stadium – 7.30 PM

March 27: Delhi vs. Mumbai – CCI -3.30 PM

March 27: Punjab vs. Bangalore – DY Patil Stadium – 7.30 PM
