Ambati Rayudu Criticizes Pakistan's Recent String of Defeats

Pakistan will clash against Canada in their 3rd match of the World T20 Series 2024 on Tuesday, June 11. After tasting two straight defeats against the USA and India in their first two games, another defeat will completely wear off their chances of making it to the Super 8 stage of the tournament.

Ex-Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu stated that the Men in Green will face yet another backlash when they face Canada at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York City.

The co-hosts managed a thumping win in the Super Over, while India narrowed their qualification chances by forging a six-run victory over the arch-rivals in a low-scoring thriller. In both cases, one factor that is worrying the Babar Azam-led side is their batting.

Ambati Rayudu stated that at this moment any side could beat the Pakistan side.

“Canada will easily beat Pakistan in the World T20 game. The way Pakistan are playing, any side can defeat them. They can’t even complete a chase of 120 against India. Even against the USA, the batters didn’t do anything. Their bowlers failed to defend 159.

“I don’t see Pakistan winning games in the World T2O Series. There is no coordination between the players,” Ambati Rayudu expressed his thoughts on the 2022 finalists.

However, his comments were overruled by his fellow teammate Piyush Chawla who put Pakistan ahead of Canada.

“I don’t think so. Pakistan have more experience than Canada and this will help them. Their bowlers are much better,” he stated.
