Basit Ali has made a bold remark on Ishan Kishan

Former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali has made a bold remark on India’s left-handed batter Ishan Kishan. The 53-year-old veteran believes there is no chance of Southpaw blistering batter to make his comeback in team India.

Ishan Kishan is currently leading Jharkhand in the Buchi Babu Tournament. The 26-year-old Jharkhand-born stalwart started the tournament with the crucial knocks off 114 and 41 helping his side to register a win over Madhya Pradesh while chasing 175 runs.

The wicketkeeper batter Ishan Kishan played his last match for Team India in November 2023. After this, he was selected for the South Africa tour, but Kishan decided to take a break. Then during the break, he was asked to play domestic cricket, which he ignored. After this, Kishan also had to lose the central contract.

Now former Pakistani cricketer Basit Ali, while talking on his YouTube channel, said about Ishan Kishan, "Ishan should focus on Indian T20 League because he has no chance of returning to Team India till the Australia series. There is no chance till the Champions Trophy Series. Let's see what happens after that."

However, no official information has been revealed about Ishan Kishan’s return to Men in Blue. Team India will play a Test series against Bangladesh from September 19 and then a T20 series will be played between the two Asian sides. Now it will be interesting to see whether the southpaw batter returns to the series against Bangladesh or not.

It is worth noting that Ishan Kishan is a wicketkeeper batter who plays all three formats for India. Ishan Kishan has played 2 Tests, 27 ODIs and 32 T20I matches so far and he scored 78 runs in Tests. Apart from this, the flamboyant batter has scored 933 runs in ODIs at an average of 42.40 and 796 runs in T20Is at an average of 25.67 and a strike rate of 124.37.
