Former World Champion's Biopic Announced, Believes Movie to Inspires Others
Cricket Legend Yuvraj Singh is set to have a biopic
The 2007 T20 World Series and 2011 World ODI Series winner Yuvraj Singh is all set to have a biopic for his illustrious and magnificent cricket career. After the legendary Mahendra Singh Dhoni and master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, a biopic of former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh is going to be released. It was announced on Tuesday (August 20) by T-Series via their official social media platform on X.
The Managing director of T-Series Bhushan Kumar will produce it, the 46-year-old Kumar will be assisted by Ravi Bhagchandka who will co-produce this movie. He has also produced "Sachin: A Billion Dreams”. Bhushan Kumar said that the story of 'real hero' Yuvraj is going to be thrilling.
The movie will focus on Yuvraj Singh's journey, his contribution to cricket his 6 sixes in an over in the 2007 T20 World Series, his battle with cancer off the field and his subsequent return to cricket in 2012. The Southpaw, who started playing cricket at the age of 13, said his story will inspire people to tackle challenges. The left-handed batter announced his retirement from International cricket in 2019 after serving team India for over 15 years in Cricket.
The 42-year-old Yuvraj Singh said, "I am very honoured that Bhushan and Ravi will be bringing my story to millions of my fans across the world. Cricket has been my greatest love and a source of strength through all the ups and downs, says former Man of the tournament winner in the World ODI Series. I hope this movie inspires others to overcome their challenges and pursue their dreams with unwavering passion."
Bhushan Kumar, who has delivered blockbusters like Drishyam 2, Animal, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kabir Singh and Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, said he is excited to bring the inspiring journey of Yuvraj Singh to the big screen. "Yuvraj Singh's life is a great story of perseverance, triumph and passion. His journey from being a talented cricketer to a cricketing hero and then becoming a hero in real life is truly inspiring.
I am excited and thrilled to bring a story that needs to be told and heard on the big screen and celebrate his extraordinary achievements," 46-year-old T-Series’ Kumar said. The makers are yet to announce key details about the film, including the director and cast.
