Gary Kirsten and Ashish Nehra is very likely to take charge of Ahmedabad franchise
Well, it is just a matter of time until you see Gary Kirsten back in the Indian T20 League as the Ahmadabad franchise is very likely to rope the coach for the upcoming season. Along with Kirsten, Ashish Nehra’s name may also be announced as the bowling coach of the team. The duo previously worked for the Bangalore franchise and also in 2011, when team India won the World Championship. Nehra was of course part of the team while Kirsten was the head coach of the team.
The owner of the Ahmadabad franchise faced a lot of issues but the Indian Cricket board realized that the company that owns the franchise is associated with a betting and gambling organization. Lalit Modi, the man behind the rise of Indian T20 League pointed it out on Twitter and the controversy broke ever since.
The problems are now solved and with 100% certainty it is now confirmed that the Ahmadabad franchise will be participating in the upcoming tournament. Players like Shreyas Iyer, David Warner and Hardik Pandya are heavily linked with the franchise and once they get a green light from the board, things will come to light. Vikram Solanki, former England International is also linked with the team. Thus, after a long wait, things are finally taking shape and Ahmedabad looks ready for the auction, which is supposed to happen on the 12th and 13th of February in Bangalore.
