Sreesanth Rant In an Insta Video Regarding His Face-off Against Gambhir At Legends League Cricket

S Sreesanth, a member of India’s World Cup T20 2007 and World Cup ODI 2011 winning teams, seemed not at all happy with his former Indian compatriot Gautam Gambhir during a Legends League Cricket match at Surat on Wednesday. The two were involved in a heated conversation during the match at LLC, which is a tournament organised for the retired cricketers.

A video of Sreesanth had gone viral on social media in which the Gujarat Giants seamer could be seen giving long stares at the Indian Capitals’ skipper Gautam Gambhir after getting smashed for a six and a four. The ex-Indian legendary opener didn’t seem shy at reacting back in that situation.

Gambhir smashed 51 runs off 30 balls as the India Capitals posted a total of 223/7 in the first innings. Also, it is worth mentioning that this was an eliminator match and he performed like a jewel in such a pressure situation. On the other hand, Sreesanth picked up just 1 wicket in his three overs. While retaliating, the Giants fell short of 12 runs as they scored 211 runs at a loss of 7 wickets in their limited-over tenure of 20 overs.

After the match, Sreesanth uploaded a video of himself on Instagram where he fulminated against Gautam Gambhir.

"Just wanted to clear the air with what happened with Mr fighter. One who always fights with all his colleagues. For no reason whatsoever. He does not even respect his own senior players, including Viru Bhai. That's exactly what happened today. Without any provocation, he just kept on calling me something which was very rude which shouldn't have been said by Mr Gautam Gambhir," Sreesanth said in his video.

He also added that he will soon make Gambhir’s words to him during the match, come in public.

"I am not at all at fault here. I just wanted to clear the air straight away. What Mr Gauti has done, sooner or later all of you will get to know. The words which he used and the things he said on a cricket field, live, is not acceptable. My family, my state, everybody has gone through so much. I fought that battle with all your support. Now people want to down me for no reason. He said things he shouldn't have said. I will surely let you know what he said,” Sreesanth expressed.

"What's the point of representing people if you don't respect your own colleagues? Even in broadcasting when he is asked about Virat, he never speaks about him. He speaks about something else. I don't want to go further in detail. Just want to say I am very hurt and my family is hurt and my dear ones are hurt. And the way he said things…. I haven't used a single bad word or a single abuse, nothing. He just kept on saying words which he always does,” Sreesanth added while clearing his side regarding the situation.
