Haris Rauf's Fiery Fifer Shifts Momentum, PAK Level Series 1-1
Pakistan thrashed Australia by 9 wickets, level series 1-1
In the second ODI of the three-match series on Friday, 8th November 2024, Pakistan cruised to a dominant 9-wicket victory over Australia, levelling the series 1-1 with one match still to go.
While batting Australia first in Adelaide in the second ODI match, the Pakistan cricket team performed brilliantly under the captaincy of Mohammad Rizwan. The Visitors first bowled out the Aussies for 163 runs in 35 overs and then easily achieved this target by losing a wicket. For Pakistan, Haris Rauf bowled lethally and took 5 wickets while conceding only 29 runs in 8 overs, while the left-handed batter Saim Ayub scored the highest 82 runs while chasing the target of 164 runs.
Following this upsetting defeat, Australia captain Pat Cummins' attitude will be a little relaxed. At one time it seemed that the Visitors would win this match without losing any wickets, but Saim Ayub played Adam Zampa in the air and was caught by Hazlewood. Pakistan suffered the only setback in the match, while former captain Babar Azam gave Pakistani fans a chance to celebrate by hitting the winning six off Zampa and finishing things off in style.
The left-handed batter Ayub smashed 5 fours and 6 sixes in 71 balls, while Babar Azam remained unbeaten after scoring 15 runs in 30 balls. Abdullah Shafiq scored an unbeaten 64 runs in 69 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes. Earlier, Australia won the first match of the series, while now the series is tied at 1-1. This defeat will also create psychological pressure on the Hosts. Now the danger of losing the series is also looming over Australia. The third and final match of this ODI series will take place on Sunday, 10th November 2024.
