Harry Kane smashes a haul against Dinamo Zagreb.

The English man Harry Kane scored a total of four goals in Bayern Munich's 9-2 landslide victory over Dinamo Zagreb on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the Allianz Arena in matchday 1 of the 2024/2025 Champions League. Three of Kane's four goals came from the penalty spot, his penalty execution was perfect. The match turned out to be lopsided, the hosts were too strong for Zagreb.

The German giants hammered a total of nine goals against their opponents, with five different goal scorers. The visitors did get a consolation goal early in the second half, but two goals were not enough.

The 31-year-old star striker Kane himself performed very well in this match. The English striker once again proved that he deserves to be called one of the best strikers in the world. In this match, Kane opened his goal tap through a penalty in the 19th minute then he added three more goals in the second half. One from open play (57'), and two more goals from penalties (73', 78').

Three penalty goals in one match pushed Kane to set a new record. According to Opta records, Harry Kane is the first player to score a penalty hat-trick in European competition, including the Champions League. He also became the first English player to score four goals in one UCL match in decades.

Kane seemed to want to prove that he deserved to be Bayern's main striker. He is still hunting for his first trophy at club level. "This is the first time I've had three penalty opportunities in one game. It feels different for me, but scoring four goals is fantastic," said Kane.

"Helping the team in any way is very important, whether with a penalty or with a normal finish, I will do it. This is a satisfying night for us," he concluded.
