The third and final T20I match between South Africa and India will be played at the New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on Thursday, December 14. 

In the second T20I, South Africa chose to bowl first and they stunned the Indian openers in the first three overs, picking the wickets of Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal in two consecutive overs. Post this scene, skipper Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma came in and rocked a crucial partnership of 49 runs for the third wicket. While ‘Sky’ went on to score 56 runs off 36 balls before getting dismissed, Rinku Singh’s innings of 68 runs off just 39 balls boosted the scoreboard before the downpour began. Team India drafted 180 runs for 7 wickets in 19.3 overs.

South Africa while covering 152 runs in 15 overs seemed overwhelmingly confident and their openers Reeza Hendricks and Matthew Breetzke gave the hosts a power-packed start. Both of them stitched a partnership of 42 runs for the 1st wicket. Hendricks went on to score a match-winning knock of 49 runs off 27 deliveries. Aiden Markram put on the final nail, smashing 30 runs off 17 balls. Riding on the back of a momentous batting performance, the Proteas chased down the total in the 14th over of the game with 5 wickets to spare,

The Final game will decide whether the series will end in a draw with both sides winning one game or will the hosts get away with the series win.
