A new chapter for India in white ball cricket begins with the men in blue taking on Sri Lanka in a three-match T20I series starting in Pallekele on Saturday, July 27. This will be Gautam Gambhir’s first project as the coach of the Indian cricket team. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have retired from the shortest format after the World T20 League win in the United States and Caribbean. Suryakumar Yadav will be their new skipper in T20I cricket.
