Women’s Indian T20 League Auction to be held in Bengaluru on December 15
The mini-auction for the third season of the Women’s Indian T20 League will be held in Bengaluru on December 15. The Indian Cricket Board in India recently intimated the five franchises about the venue and auction date. With the available collective purse of INR 16.7 crore, up to 19 slots (14 Indian, 5 overseas) can be filled at the auction.
Each franchise can splurge up to INR 15 crore and have a squad size of 18 players. Each squad can comprise a maximum of six overseas players.
After the retentions, Gujarat has a maximum purse of INR 4.4 crore with 4 slots to occupy. The Indian Cricket Board is yet to notify about the window for the 22-match competition but it is believed to be between February and March. Bengaluru are the reigning champions.
