How, When & Where to Watch Indian T20 League Mega Auction 2025 Live Coverage

The Indian T20 League 2025 mega auction is an important and exciting event for cricket lovers. This mega auction will take place on November 24(Sunday) and 25(Monday) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The two-day T20 fest will begin at 12:30 PM local time (3:00 PM IST) on both days. This will be the second time the Indian T20 League auction will take place outside India—the previous auction in 2024 was conducted in Dubai.

More than 1,574 players will participate in this cash-rich league mega auction, including 366 Indian and 208 foreign players, after retention, 204 slots remain available. This year, the base price will start from Rs 30 lakh and the Punjab franchise, which is yet to win this prestigious league title will have the highest budget of Rs 110.50 crore while the Rajasthan franchise will have the lowest at Rs 41 crore.

This will be the second time the Indian T20 League auction will take place outside India. This year, the base price for players will start at Rs 30 lakh, which is Rs 10 lakh higher than last year’s auction. The other base price categories include Rs 40 lakh, Rs 50 lakh, Rs 75 lakh, Rs 1 crore, Rs 1.25 crore, Rs 1.50 crore, and Rs 2 crore. 

The first set features six marquee players, including last season’s captains Rishabh Pant for Delhi, and Shreyas Iyer for Kolkata who guided them to win their third league title. The other players in set 1 include Jos Buttler, Kagiso Rabada, Arshdeep Singh and Mitchell Starc.

The second set or set 2 includes players like  Yuzvendra Chahal, Liam Livingstone, David Miller, KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj. Former English bowler James Anderson, at 42, will be the oldest player at the auction, while 13-year-old Indian batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi will be the youngest ever for this mega auction.

When Will the Mega Auction 2025 Start?

The mega auction 2025 will start at 12:30 PM as per local time in Jeddah. There is a time difference of 2 hours and 30 minutes between Saudi Arabia and India, meaning the auction will begin at 3:00 p.m. IST on 24th & 25th November.
