Shubman Gill To Miss The 3rd T20I Versus Sri Lanka As Per Reports
A piece of shocking news for Indian cricket fans as vice-captain Shubman Gill is likely to miss the 3td T20I match between India and Sri Lanka. The management will take a call on whether or not Gill will be a part of the game as per the reports.
India’s T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav dropped the dynamic opener from the 2nd T20I game due to his neck spasm. As a replacement, the wicketkeeper batter, Sanju Samson was included in the Playing XI. Gill scored 34 off 16 balls in the first match.
The next match between the two will be a dead rubber as India has already sealed the T20I series victory against Sri Lanka by winning two out of three matches.
In the meantime, the Indian cricket team is gearing up for the ODI series with their star players, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer and Kuldeep Yadav who have landed in Sri Lanka.
A training session in Colombo has been scheduled for Monday evening with the assistant coach Abhishek Nayar.
The Men in Blue will play their final T20I match under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav on July 30. He will pass the baton to Rohit Sharma, who will lead the team for the ODI series starting on August 2.
