Ravindra Jadeja ruled out of the Indian T20 League 2022

Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the remainder of the Ind T20 League. The Indian all rounder left the Chennai bio bubble on May 11.

“He has an injury on his rib which he sustained during our match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (on May 04). We have only two games left and given his heavy international commitments, we thought he should not risk further injury," said Kasi Viswanathan, the CEO of the franchise.

As per a Chennai official Jadeja who was midway removed from the position of captain after a string of defeats was feeling pain in his ribs. “He was feeling pain while bowling and batting. So we thought that it would be wise to let him rest. We have informed the BCCI as well," Viswanathan said.

Jadeja was injured in the game against Bangalore and missed Chennai’s last game against Delhi on Sunday (May 8). Chennai will play Mumbai on May 12 at the Wankhede Stadium, followed by a clash against Gujarat on May 15 and round off their campaign with a match against Rajasthan on May 20.

The National team management  meanwhile contrary to the injury norms had no prior information about the injury adding questions over Jadeja’s exit from the bio bubble. Even the national selectors, informed about the injury, seem to have no clue about it. Chief Selector Chetan Sharma didn’t respond to any query.
