Tried bowling at the right areas- Jayden Seales

West Indies pacer Jayden Seales said he tried to outwit the batters as he ended the second day of the second test against Bangladesh with staggering figures in Jamaica.

Seales ended the day with figures of 15.5-10-5-4 as the hosts bundled out Bangladesh for a party 164 on day 2 of the second test match at Sabina Park. Seales registered the most economical figures in test cricket since 1977 (minimum 60 balls).

“I tend to use my skills a lot here, I would say. And try to set up the batters, make them feel I will bowl my stock delivery when I'm not going to bowl it," Seales said following the conclusion of the day’s play.

"I tried to bowl in good areas and tried to build pressure for the other bowlers so that they could express themselves and do their job as well. And it paid off in the end today. I'm very pleased [with the performance]," he said.

“The pitches are slow, but as I've always said, I love playing in Jamaica mainly because there's a lot for the bowlers throughout the entire day. And today it showed. It was good for us the entire day today," he added.

"I guess I tend to find good rhythm [here in Jamaica]. I just enjoy playing here because the crowd comes out, which is surprising in Caribbean cricket. Having the little crowd pushing us gives us energy. But, Nah, apart from the wicket, I don't know [what's special about Jamaica]; it just tends to happen," he said.

Seales also said he thinks the batting department will do the job to take the team towards victory after West Indies finished the day on 70/1 when bad light forced a premature end for the second successive day.

"I have no doubt the batters will get the job done. They are in good touch, every one of them. I believe that they will put their hands up and get us the lead that we so desire," he said.
