Juve set a big price-tag for the 18-year-old Turkish striker
Arsenal Shows Interest in Young Juventus Midfielder
Premier League club Arsenal is reportedly interested in Kenan Yildiz, Juventus' young midfielder. Kenan is currently 18 years old and he joined Juventus in 2022 as a young player. Previously, Kenan had the status of a young Bayern Munich player. However, starting in 2023, Kenan has been trusted to join Juventus' senior squad. He has also started to break into the Turkish national team squad and has recorded three caps so far.
Kenan Yildiz has so far played five times in the Juventus squad the young striker came on as a substitute and has not recorded a single assist or goal. However, his appearance has reportedly attracted Arsenal's attention. This news was reported by Turkish Football, via Football London. The report states that Arsenal might try to bring in Kenan in the 2024 winter transfer market. The forward himself has just signed a new contract at Juventus. He is under contract until 2027.
However, this will not make the Gunners withdraw from their hunt. Kenan Yildiz himself is a versatile footballer. Apart from being an attacking forward, he can operate as a striker, left winger or second striker. Arsenal itself needs additional strikers in its squad. They only have Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah up front. However, the first name is a player who is prone to injury.
Meanwhile, there is still Folarin Balogun, but he is on loan at AS Monaco and his future at Arsenal is unclear. Previously, the current EPL table-toppers Gunners were said to be targeting Ivan Toney, the Brentford striker. There is also the name of Napoli star, Victor Osimhen which does not seem to be a talking matter.
