Veteran India cricketer Kedar Jadhav has announced his retirement from all formats of the game. The 39-year-old shared the news through a heartfelt social media post, bringing the curtain down on an impressive career that spanned over a decade.

Jadhav, known for his versatility as a middle-order batter and handy off-spinner, made his international debut for India in an ODI against Sri Lanka in November 2014. He went on to represent the national team in 73 ODIs and 9 T20Is, playing a key role in India's run to the 2019 World Cup semifinal.

Throughout his international career, Jadhav showcased his value as a utility player, providing crucial contributions with both bat and ball. He amassed 1,389 runs in ODIs at a healthy average of 48.03, including two centuries, while also picking up 27 wickets with his distinctive slingy action. In T20Is, Jadhav scored 122 runs.

Prior to his international exploits, Jadhav had already established himself as a reliable performer in domestic cricket. The Maharashtra-born cricketer featured in 87 first-class matches, scoring 6,100 runs at an impressive average of 48.03, with 17 centuries and 23 half-centuries to his name. His standout season came in 2013-14, when he topped the Ranji Trophy run-charts with 1,223 runs, helping Maharashtra reach the final.

Jadhav's ability to adapt to various situations and contribute to his team's success also made him a valuable asset in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He featured for several franchises, including Delhi Capitals, Kochi, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad, amassing 1,208 runs in the cash-rich league.
