KOL vs RAJ match shifted to April 16

Kolkata’s home game against Rajasthan, slated for April 17, has been shifted to a day early to April 16, after the Kolkata police expressed concerns regarding security for both the match and local celebrations for Ram Navami, a Hindu festival. Bengal also commences voting in India’s general  elections from April 19, so a group of security workforce will already be stationed for that.

Later, the game originally scheduled for April 16, Gujarat vs Delhi in Ahmedabad has been brought down to a day to April 17.

“Since the match is coinciding with Ram Navami and a portion of security is already deployed for elections. Therefore it won't be possible for us to provide adequate security for the match on April 17," Kolkata Police stated in a letter to the Cricket Association of Bengal president Snehasish Ganguly as reported by PTI.

While announcing the slight jig-up of schedule, the statement put forward by the Ind T20 League did not tell what happens to the already told tickets for either game.

Initially, the Ind T20 League had issued a partial schedule running from inaugural night on March 22 to April 7. The date for these two fixtures, along with the remainder of the entire schedule from April 8 to the final on May 26, was only made public on March 25, with organisers having eagerly waited on the polling dates in the Indian general elections before fixing things up. The elections will run in seven phases starting from April 19 all the way till June 1.
