Galle Titans (GT) and Jaffna Kings (JK) will lock horns in the 7th match of the ongoing edition of the Lanka T20 League at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on August 4. GT have made a rollicking start to their campaign, winning both of their games and currently occupying the first place on the points table. JK on the other hand have won and lost one match apiece, holding the fourth spot. 

In their last game against BK, GT secured a comprehensive 83 run win. Tim Siefiert -74 runs off 39 balls, was Titans top scorer in the game. Shakib Al Hasan produced a brilliant all round display to help his side emerge victorious. He scored a crucial 30 off 21 balls with the bat and picked two key wickets with ball in hand. Kasun Rajitha, Richard Ngarava and Tabriaz Shamsi chipped in with two wickets each, contributing to the team’s clinical performance. 

Meanwhile, JK suffered an eight wicket loss against DA in their last game. Charith Asalanka played a calculative knock of 56 runs, but it wasn’t enough to propel Kings to a competitive total. In the bowling prowess, Dunith Wellalage and Vijayakanth Vijaksnth took a scalp each, but they couldn’t stop the opposition from hunting down the target.
