Eliminator: CS vs KFL

The eliminator match of the Lanka T20 League 2024 will see Colombo Strikers (CS) squaring off with Kandy Falcons (KFL) on Thursday, July 18 at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. CS finished the league stages in third place and are in the eliminator now. But, they will fancy their chances against KFL whom they have already defeated twice this season. The reigning champions, on the other hand, did well in the second half of the group to secure their place in the playoffs. 

Both teams have mustered to win only two of their last five matches. The defending champions KFL played a must win clash against Dambulla in their final league fixture, in which they secured a comfortable 54 run victory. Opener Andre Fletcher and Kamindu Mendis had a remarkable run with the  bat, while captain Wanindu Hasaranaga and Dasun Shanaka were the pick of the bowlers. 

Meanwhile, CS lost to the same opponent in their last league fixture. They have had a challenging run with bat in hand and they need to sort out their batting woes as a loss in this encounter will knock them out of the competition.
