Red Devils is eyeing to target Jarrad Branthwaite in the summer window

Manchester United's prospective new sporting director, Dan Ashworth, is reportedly starting to draw up transfer plans for the Red Devils. He has reportedly already decided which centre-back the Red Devils should secure next summer.

It is common knowledge that Man United will buy several new players this summer. INEOS wants to renew the Red Devils squad with several quality players to boost their performance. One of the sectors that will be Man United's priority will be the central defender. It is believed that the 6th placed EPL side Man United will part ways with several of their central defenders, so they need to bring in several new central defenders.

As reported by Football Transfers, 53-year-old Dan Ashworth has reportedly selected several names that are considered suitable for Erik ten Hag's needs. First on the list is Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite according to the report, Ashworth highly recommended Man United to recruit Branthwaite from Everton. The 21-year-old defender has been a regular starter in the Everton squad for the past two seasons and he also showed great performance in that period.

Ashworth believes Jarrad Branthwaite will be a future defender for the England national team. So he wants Man United to secure his services. The same report also claims that the 13-time EPL league winner has a big chance of securing Branthwaite's services. Everton as the owner of the defender is experiencing economic problems and they need significant additional income if they don't want to be subject to FFP sanctions again. Here is why they are most likely to sell several defenders like Branthwaite in the summer as long as they get a good offer. The report also revealed that United must be prepared to spend a lot of money if they are serious about recruiting Branthwaite. The defender will reportedly be priced at around £80 million this summer.
