Joining Man United, Joshua Zirkzee will be Rasmus Hojlund's competitor

Manchester United succeeded in bringing in the Dutch man Joshua Zirkzee. Former Red Devils player Paul Parker believes that Zirkzee could be a good competitor for Rasmus Hojlund. He appeared charming with Bologna last season. As a result, Zirkzee has become one of the players that many top European clubs are interested in in the transfer market this summer

Initially, it was widely rumored that Zirkzee would join AC Milan but in the end the striker chose to move to England to join Manchester United. The 23-year-old striker was brought in by Manchester United from Bologna for a fee reportedly reaching 42.5 million. Zirkzee is contracted for five years or until 2029.

Parker commented on Zirkzee's arrival at Manchester United. According to him, Zirkzee could be a good competitor for Hojlund in the Red Devils' front line.

"I think this will be a learning process for Zirkzee and what Hojlund needs is the right competition," Parker said in an interview. "In that sense, Hojlund needs proper competition with someone who really wants to play center forward rather than someone who is just doing a job. I mean, you look at him and you see that Hojlund is a center forward and so is Zirkzee."

By competing with Zirkzee, Parker believes this will have a positive impact on Hojlund's development as a striker for the Red Devils. "He needs someone to compete with him," he continued. “You need someone to push you to try and improve your game in areas that maybe you don't focus enough on because you're comfortable.

"So I can't wait to see it.”
