Harry Kane injury: Bayern Munich forward still on the sidelines ahead of preliminary England squad announcement for Euro 2024 

Thomas Tuchel came under fire for what seemed a massively controversial decision to sub Kane during the Champions League semi final clash against Real Madrid, with the German giants suffering to hold onto their slender lead and eventually getting knocked out of the competition. However, he explained post the game that he was compelled to take off the prolific goal scorer as he was battling a back injury. 

When the reporters asked about Kane’s condition, Tuchel said- “Harry is getting treatment from his personal doctor. He can't travel. He was already at the limit in Madrid. He had a complete blockade in his back, it's gotten worse and bothers him in everyday movements.” 

The gravity of Kane’s injury is not being disclosed, with England coach Gareth Southgate sweating on his fitness. England are set to name their preliminary squad for Euro 2024 this coming Tuesday, with Kane as skipper of his nation expected to figure enormously in plans for a major international competition. In point of fact, even though the forward’s back complaint is evidently causing his issues, it would be a big shock if he wasn’t ready in time for the start of Euro 2024.
