Preview

After a resounding win in their last game, Rajasthan will look to pounce on an under confident Delhi and consolidate their position at the top half of the table. Delhi on the other side will try to bounce back from the embarrassment they suffered in their recent fixture against Chennai. Both sides will be squaring off at the DY Patil Stadium on Wednesday.  

With 7 wins in 11 games, Rajasthan are comfortably sitting at third. After losing two games on the trot, Rajasthan made an emphatic comeback to book a place in top four. Yashashvi Jaiswal and Yuzvendra Chahal were the chief architects of the last win against Punjab. While Jaiswal scored a quickfire 68 on his return game, Chahal picked up three crucial wickets to restrict the Punjab batters at 189. Now, with momentum on their side, Samson’s men will be eager to carry it ahead in the competition. 

Things change, people change but Delhi doesn't. They continue to face the same problems which have haunted them in the past. Batting is one front which still seems pretty fragile. Apart from David Warner and Rovman Powell no other batter has managed to create any considerable impact. Senior pros Marsh and Pant should take the onus upon themselves and try to inspire the other batters around them. Pant in particular is going through a tough time. He is struggling with his timing which is quite apparent with his last few dismissals. Bowling has done well in patches with Kuldeep leading the prowess. In order to produce a favourable outcome, the men in pink will need to put up an all round performance.
