Matteo Gabbia's goal powered Milan to seal a derby win over Inter

AC Milan defender Matteo Gabbia admitted that he was very happy with his team's victory over Inter Milan and hopes that after this the Rossoneri can consistently achieve positive results.

The Rossoneri underwent a tough match in the fifth week of Serie A 2024/2025 on Monday(23rd September 2024). They had to duel against their city rivals, Inter Milan not a few predicted that Milan would be defeated. Because their performance compared to Inter is so different Milan managed to make a surprise and they won 2-1 against their arch-rivals.

AC Milan's winning goal in the match was scored by the 24-year-old centreback Matteo Gabbia. After the match, the defender said he was very happy with the victory. Moreover, the victory was obtained when Milan was in a difficult situation. Previously, the Rossoneri had only won once in four matches in the Serie A stage, now they are in 7th place in the ongoing Serie A points table. 

"I'm very happy for us and the fans. It was a difficult moment when things didn't go well," Gabbia told DAZN. "This victory gives us a lot of energy. I am happy for the team and for these wonderful people," he said.
