A murder case has been registered against the 37-year-old left-handed all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan. According to media reports, the former number one all-rounder in ODI has been accused of murdering a man working in a clothes shop in Dhaka. Not only him, a total of 147 people including former Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina have been made accused in this incident as well. Shakib Al Hasan is currently playing a test match in Rawalpindi where he was dismissed on the score of 15 runs in the first innings of the test match against Pakistan, till writing this Bangladesh's score was 302/5, trailing by 173 runs.
According to Bangladeshi media reports, a case has been registered against Shakib in Dhaka Metropolitan Police Station. The name of the person who filed the case is Rafiqul Islam, who is the father of a person killed during a protest in Dhaka. Shakib Al Hasan and the leaders of Bangladesh Awami League, and then-PM Sheikh Hasina. After the coup in Bangladesh, the 76-year-old veteran left the country. It is possible that such cases are being registered against Shakib Al Hasan for the same reason because he was close to Sheikh Hasina.
