Navjot Singh Sidhu praises the most improved batsman in Rajasthan franchise

Rajasthan are presently the best-performing team in the Indian T20 League 2024. They have tasted 7 victories and are the table toppers so far. Sanju Samson has led the pink army from the front with regular performances from the bat. The 29-year-old has been an inspiration for the team from behind the stumps. However back in 2013, things were not the same, the right-handed batter was satisfied with contributions of 25 or 20 runs. 

The talented batter was unable to convert his innings into big knocks. But the time when he started leading the team, things changed and he became more responsible. With more consistent batting and unmatched power-hitting abilities, his fans increased and one of them was Navjot Singh Sidhu. 

Praising his consistent batting, Sidhu emphasised how the batter’s performance improved after getting the responsibility. “Sanju Samson is the most improved batter of Rajasthan Royals. Earlier, he used to believe in bang-bang. He was satisfied with a quick-fire 25-30 to impact the game. However, he realized that big and important innings are needed to win matches for the team. He has now played impressive knocks and is staying till the end. 

“He can bat aggressively and the right-handed batter has all the skills to anchor the innings if needed. His growth in the batting department is good news for Indian cricket as the national team needs a batter like him in the middle-order,” Navjot Singh Sidhu said on a sports talk show.

Rajasthan under his leadership has won seven out of eight matches in the Indian T20 League 2024, the team is just one win away from sealing a place in the playoffs.
