The stage at Ageas Bowl is set for the second ODI clash between England and New Zealand. The game will be played on Sunday, September 10. The Kiwis hold the upper hand in this ODI series by a margin of 1-0 with a massive 8-wicket victory in the first One Day Internationals.

The showstoppers for the Three-Headed Lions in the first innings of the contest were Harry Brook and Dawid Malan who staged up an 80-run partnership. Subsequently, after Malan’s dismissal by Rachin Ravindra, the two English front-runners added another 87 runs to draft a total of 291 runs to the scoreboard which came at just the loss of 6 wickets. Rachin Ravindra and Tim Southee were the two bowlers who shined with the ball from the New Zealand dugout. 

The Blackcaps came as a retaliating force with the efforts of Devon Conway and Will Young. Both played a partnership of 60 runs. After the wicket of Young by Adil Rashid, Henry Nicholls framed another partnership of 170 runs with both batters smashing a century. This helped New Zealand harbour a phenomenal victory in just 45 overs. Adil Rashid and David Willey were the ones to pick up and wicket each.
