Islamabad United and Karachi Kings will be crossing swords for the 24th match of the Pakistan T20 League 2024. The game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 7 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. 

Islamabad have lost their last match against Lahore Qalandars. LAH batted first in that match and drafted 162 runs on the scoreboard for a loss of 7 wickets. Fakhar Zaman and Sahibzada Farhan fell early in the innings. Rassie van der Dussen and Shaheen Afridi smashed 64 and 30 runs respectively to steer Lahore to a defendable score. 

ISL didn’t have a great start and lost 7 of their wickets at the score of just 73 runs. Faheem Ashraf played a knock of 41 runs but it went in vain as they fell short of 17 runs in the end to lose the match. 

On the other side, Karachi won their last game against Quetta Gladiators. QUE while batting first posted a below-par score of 118 runs in the first innings of the game. Their middle-order batters failed miserably and they also failed to make a comeback.

Though KAR lost an early wicket in the form of Shan Masood, Tim Seifert took the responsibility of cruising the Kings over the finish line. Seifert smashed 49 runs off 31 deliveries to win the game with 7 wickets to spare.
