Karachi Kings will cross swords with Peshawar Zalmi in the 29th match of the ongoing Pakistan T20 League 2024. The game will be hosted at the National Stadium in Karachi on March 11. Peshawar has won four of their nine fixtures and are currently sitting in fifth place. Peshawar on the other hand, has been successful in five of their nine games and are holding the second position in the league table. 

Karachi faced off against Lahore Qalandars in their last fixture. After winning the toss KAR chose to ball and were on the right path until Fakhir and Shafique scored half-centuries each and a fine finish by David led them to a defendable total of 177 runs. The Kings in the second half of the game started off well, but tremendous spells in the middle overs of the game put the game again in a balanced state with both having a chance to win. Regardless of good bowling efforts, Malik hit a boundary off the last ball to take away the match for Karachi Kings by three wickets.

Peshawar, on the other hand, played against Quetta  Gladiators in their last game. After putting to bat first, PES started their innings with a firecracker show. With their skipper Babar Azam leading from the front, they posted a huge target of 196 runs on the scoreboard. QUE started well but once their openers went back, they kept losing frequent wickets which resulted in them getting bowled out at just 120 runs, hence losing the match by a huge margin of 76 runs.

Shan Masood and Co. will face a huge will face a significant challenge in this game as they have a poor track record against Peshawar Zalmi. They must defeat the Babar Azam-led side by a huge margin to seal a qualifying spot in the next round. Especially their bowlers should bear the pain for their side to win. We expect it to be a good contest but Peshawar Zalmi has already booked a place in the next round and will have less tension which gives them an edge in this game.
